Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Vargas Code, operated by Vargas (trading as Vargas Enterprise S.L., CIF: B88594981), we want you to be satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which you may request a refund. All payments and refunds are processed through Paddle.com ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record.

2. Paddle as Merchant of Record

Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, and refund transactions on our behalf. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refunds are issued by Paddle directly to your original payment method. This means the refund will appear on your statement from Paddle, not from Vargas Code.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund under the following conditions:

  • 14-Day Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with EU consumer protection regulations, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the initial subscription date without giving any reason. This right applies to your first payment.
  • Service Issues: If you experience significant technical issues that prevent you from accessing the content you paid for, and we are unable to resolve them within a reasonable time, you may be eligible for a refund.
  • Duplicate Charges: If you have been charged more than once for the same billing period, the duplicate charge will be refunded.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you may use either of the following methods:

  • Contact Us Directly: Send an email to hello@vargascode.com with your name, the email address associated with your subscription, the date of the charge, and the reason for your refund request.
  • Through Paddle: Use the subscription management link in your purchase confirmation or billing email from Paddle to submit a refund request directly.

Please include as much detail as possible so we can process your request promptly.

5. Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, Paddle will initiate the refund to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider. We will confirm the refund via email once it has been processed on our end.

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

It is important to understand the difference between a cancellation and a refund:

  • Cancellation: Stops future billing. When you cancel your subscription, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made, but no refund is issued for the current period.
  • Refund: Returns the payment for a specific billing period. A refund may result in immediate loss of access to premium content, depending on the circumstances.

If you simply wish to stop being charged in the future, cancellation is the appropriate action. See the cancellation section in our Terms of Service for instructions.

7. Exceptions

Refund requests made after the 14-day withdrawal period will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that fall outside the eligibility criteria outlined above, particularly in cases of abuse or where significant use of the Service has occurred during the billing period in question.
